This winter the University Ambassadors initiative was born out of the desire of senior software engineers and software engineering team leaders to impart modern knowledge to students. Experts actively participate in the educational process of specific subjects in two higher education institutions in Kiev. It's hard to do all this by yourself. Colleagues from the university project, especially the head of the Chief Resource Development Laboratory, therefore took on the organizational work of the training.
Volunteer programmers participated in the development of program content and B2B Fax Lead directly led the courses. Although the experts in the production department are usually busy with projects each of these volunteers found time to share their experience and professional tips. The reason for their participation was simply that they did not have the practical knowledge to gain access to it at university at the time. Additionally volunteers understand that this is an investment in the training of future colleagues. Now we have our first graduates who are second-year students from Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and Shevchenko University. How the training went, what content impressed the volunteer teachers and students, the results of the front-end project and whether it was worth continuing to wait. We collected the most interesting information.
The topic of processing forms was taught by Software Engineer and I myself graduated from college a year ago. I wanted to gain both cool modern examples and practical knowledge. Not just theory. Of course students will always be students but I'm happy to say that some of them are really well prepared for their second year in front end development! I hope our lectures will also benefit students because they are more professional and focused. By the way I was very happy when I learned that several students have already transferred to study in the laboratory. Victoria Mironova Initiator of the program For more than ten years I have combined the work of a developer and a teacher. So I understand how interesting it is for students to get information directly from the people who produce it.
